Roof and Gutter Cleaning Remuera

Remuera has some of the largest and most complicated residential rooflines in Auckland. Two and three-storey character homes, long gutter runs broken up by gables and dormers, valleys feeding into hidden outlets, and hillside sites where the low side of the house is a full storey further down than the high side. It is not work to do off a domestic ladder.

We come equipped for the height and the complexity, using roof anchors and harnesses where the pitch requires it, and we clear the whole system rather than the parts that are easy to reach. That includes the valleys, the internal gutters that some of the larger homes here run behind parapets, and every downpipe. You get photographs of the before and after and of anything we think needs attention.

Remuera Gutter Cleaning FAQs

Yes, and a number of the larger Remuera homes have them. Internal gutters run behind a parapet or between roof planes rather than at the eaves, and they are more labour-intensive because access is narrower and there is nowhere for debris to fall clear. Two-storey internal gutter cleans start around $350 including GST.

Two-storey homes with three or four bedrooms start at $280 including GST for external gutters and $350 for internal. Homes with five or more bedrooms typically run $350 to $450 and up, depending on gutter type and how many roof sections there are. We confirm a fixed price once we have seen the roofline.

Roof anchors and harnesses where the pitch and height require them, and two people on site rather than one. We are fully insured. On the steepest hillside properties we assess whether a section is safe to walk before we quote it, rather than committing to something we then have to improvise on.

That is most of the suburb. Every valley and every dormer return gets cleared, because those are where blockages actually cause leaks — water backs up under the roofing rather than overflowing visibly at the eaves, so the damage is well advanced before anyone notices it inside.

Twice a year, and more if the property sits under mature trees, which many here do. On a large complex roof the risk is not the overflow you can see from the ground, it is the valley or hidden outlet quietly backing up. A regular schedule is much cheaper than the repair.
